Prince William County Police responded to a number of apparently unrelated burglaries reported in the Woodbridge area over the past week. 

Oct. 12, 3:59 p.m. A homeowner on the 3100 block of Burbank Lane reported that a burgar entered the residence between 5:45 a.m. and 2:30 p..m. and made off with an iPad valued at $250. There were no signs of forced entry; the burglar likely entered through an unsecure window. 

Oct. 14, 1:15 p.m. A homeowner on the 12900 block of Kimrough Lane reported that a burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry, but a laptop valued around $1,500 and jewelry were missing. 

Oct. 14, 4:47 p.m. The owner of the World Trade Company on Farm Creek Drive reported that a burglary took place between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The thief appeared to have entered through an overhead bay door, which was forced open. The owner reported that two TVs, valued around $1,400, were missing. 

Oct. 14, 8:51 a.m. A homeowner on the 3000 block of Arkendale Street reported that an unknown person tried to enter through a broken rear window between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. No one entered the house, and no property was missing. 

Oct. 15, 6:04 p.m. Police responded to a report of a burglary on the 6000 block of Ponhill Drive. A homeowner reported that an unknown person tried to break in through the rear windows between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The windows were open and the screens removed. The homeowner did not report anything missing and police believe no one entered the home.

Oct. 16, 3:22 a.m. Between 10 p.m. and 3:15 a.m., an unknown person tried to enter a home on the 1900 block of Briar Ridge Lane through the front door, which was found open. The door could not open the whole way because there was a swing lock attached. No property was reported missing and police do not believe anyone entered the home.
