Dale City Man Accused of Strangling Two People

David Nimrod Munford, 47, of Woodbridge, was charged with two counts of strangulation and one count of resisting arrest.

Prince William County Police said a Dale City man strangled a woman and threw her to the ground, and then strangled a second man who tried to help.

David Nimrod Munford, 47, of Fontaine Court in Dale City, was charged with two counts of strangulation and one count of resisting arrest.

Police responded to the report on Oct. 20 at 2:25 a.m., when a 23-year-old Woodbridge woman reported that she and Munford, a known acquaintance, were involved in an argument which escalated.

"During the encounter, the accused strangled the victim and threw her to the ground," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release. "A second victim, a 25-year-old man of Woodbridge, attempted to intervene to break up the altercation, at which point, the accused grabbed him by the throat and lifted him off the ground."

Officers attempted to arrest Munford, but he refused to comply, Perok said. Officers eventually detained Munford, who was then charged. Both the victims knew Munford, Perok said.

Both victims reported minor injuries.

The preceding information was provided by the Prince William County Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

With the middle name "Nimrod" his actions make alot of sense. Wonder how two adults, with the combined age as the accused, would let him choke BOTH of them?
