Day 7: More than 900 Dominion Customers Still Without Power in Northern Virginia

Outage map shows 14 homes out of power in Prince William County one week after storm. Everyone should have power by tomorrow, company says.

Nearly a week after a derecho hit Northern Virginia with deadly devastating force, and leaving almost half a million Dominion Virginia Power customers without power and air conditioning in a record-breaking heat wave, Dominion has restored power to all but 965 customers as of 9:45 a.m. Friday.

Dominion has promised that all of its customers should have power by some time on Saturday.

In Prince William County, 14 Dominion customers still don't have power.

Dominion published today's work crew locations for Northern Virginia. Woodbridge is not on the list.

"Having lost power this month, you'd think my electric bill will be lower, wouldn't you @DomVAPower?" a Dominion customer tweeted.

"You will only pay for what you've used. So yes, that is possible," Dominion replied.
