DC Man Wanted For Felony Eluding, Possession of Marijuana
Police are looking for Julius Jerome Moore.
D.C. resident Julius Jerome Moore is wanted for felony eluding and possession of marijuana, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.
On Dec. 29 at 1:38 a.m., a PWC police officer reportedly tried to stop a car for a traffic infraction near Prince William Parkway and Hoadly Road.
The driver allegedly ignored the officer's lights and siren and drove to Scenic Pointe Place, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed it into a ditch.
When police caught up to the vehicle, the driver had already fled. Police searched the surrounding neighborhood, and set up a perimeter, but did not find the suspect.
After an investigation, police found the driver was the accused. They searched the vehicle and reportedly found marijuana.
"Officers further discovered that the tags on the vehicle were altered and that the vehicle was stolen," Perok said. "Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused."
