Fugitive Charged With Attempted Abduction, Hit-and-Run

Brandon William Skinner, 28, of Dale City, was charged in relation to a September hit-and-run.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested a Dale City man in relation to an attempted abduction and hit-and-run in Woodbridge in September.

Brandon William Skinner of the 14600 block of Darbydale Ave., was charged with assault and battery, attempted abduction, and hit and run.

Police said that Skinner and a 26-year-old Woodbridge woman were involved in an argument in front of a residence around 11:44 p.m. on the 3600 block of Felmore Ct. on Sept. 8. Skinner allegedly assaulted the woman and tried to force her to get in the back seat of a vehicle. A friend of the woman helped her get free, police said.

Skinner then got into his vehicle and struck the victim's vehicle, police said. The victim reported minor injuries and damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,800.

Police issued warrants for Skinner's arrest, but attempts to locate him were unsuccessful until he was arrested on Oct. 4.

The preceding information was provided by the Prince William County Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
