Homicide Suspects Captured in Florida
U.S. Marshals apprehended Christopher Jonathon Tolliver and Douglas Jason Tolliver, both of Dumfries, in North Palm Beach, Fla.
The U.S. Marshals Service captured the two remaining suspects Wednesday in a Dumfries homicide as they were hiding out in Florida, authorities said.
The U.S. Marshals' Florida Caribbean Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Capital Area Regional Task Force, found Christopher Jonathon Tolliver and Douglas Jason Tolliver Wednesday in North Palm Beach.
Authorities said they arrested Christopher, 27, and Douglas, 29, without incident. The two Dumfries residents will remain in custody in Florida until they are extradited to Prince William County.
The two were wanted on first-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death last week of Tasheka Lason Leavell, 35, of Dumfries. Leavell was found dead at the scene on Washington Street from gunshot wounds to the upper body. Prince William County Police have classified her case as a murder.
Police announced Tuesday that a third brother, suspect Reginald Keith Tolliver, 38, was also arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
