Hundreds Without Power in Westridge

Outage determined to be from equipment upgrade.

Dominion Virginia Power customers in the Westridge neighborhood of Lake Ridge have been without power since Tuesday morning.

The outage map on Dominion's website shows nearly 400 customers without power due to an equipment upgrade. The estimated restoration time is between 2 and 4 p.m.

Dominion customers in the Forestdale Avenue and Hereford Road area of Dale City are also without power.

It is still imperative to report a power outage to Dominion. Unless you report your outage, Dominion may not be aware power to your house is out.

To report an outage, call Dominion at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357).

This is getting ridiculous -- I think this is at least the fourth time the power has been out in Westridge in the last few weeks.

Jan,
Have there been a lot of Dominion trucks or construction otherwise in the neighborhood? I know there is sidewalk construction on Old Bridge from Touchstone Circle to Smoketown Rd. but I don't think that would have the affect on the neighborhood.

How long has your power been out in previous instances?
