Keep your trip in and out of D.C. uneventful. Don't bring something prohibited along the parade route, at the inauguration balls, or the White House reviewing stand.
Events and Activities
If you didn't get a ticket to the inauguration, you can watch from an unticketed spot, or get a ticket from a reputable online source. Make sure you're properly dressed for the event.
