Tackett's Mill Burger King to Finally Reopen in Late July
After some delays, owner Ron Devine says the local fast food restaurant should be operational by the end of the month.
The Tackett's Mill Burger King will finally reopen in late July, after a few delays in the construction process, owner Ron Devine said.
"We finally got all the permitting taken care of," Devine said. "I think we're well on our way. A couple weeks away." The county was helpful in the permitting process, he added.
Although the restaurant's windows are still boarded up, Devine said that most of the construction is done.
"The kitchen equipment's there," he said. "The plywood is just so that the windows don't get broken into."
Devine is planning to open the Burger King for business sometime at the end of this month, and hold a grand opening sometime in August.
"That thing's been around a long time. It'd be nice to open it up and let everyone see what we've done," Devine said.

There is a sign in the window to call 703-912-9000 (or 9200, doing this from memory) to apply for jobs. Have to assume that there are still openings since the sign is still up.
