Local Residents Line Up to See Michelle Obama

Lake Ridge residents were willing to wait in line for tickets.

After the Obama campaign announced that Michelle Obama would be campaigning in Dale City on Thursday, local residents hurried to get in line at 10 a.m. this morning.

By 10:15 a.m., the line was steadily growing outside the Tacketts Mill Shopping Center. Tickets were first-come, first served.

The first lady will visit the VFW Post 1503 at 14631 Minnieville Rd on Thursday from noon to 2:30 p.m.

This will be a meeting geared towards thanking and encouraging supporters and volunteers, the Obama campaign said.
