Occoquan shops have banded together to fight off the summer doldrums during their Lemonade Yard Sale. The sale began today and runs through Saturday.

"This is not sponsored by any organization," Kathy Alden of Spiral Creations said. "Just some shops trying to get things going." 

Shops across town will feature great deals and offer lemonade to keep customers refreshed.

"Look for a yellow balloon in front of participating shops," a flier read.

The Lemonade Yard Sale will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days.
