He is also wanted for domestic assault and battery and burglary, Prince William County Police said.
Manassas resident Corey Alexander James, 30, is wanted for strangulation, domestic assault and battery and burglary after a Woodbridge woman told police that she was attacked in her own bedroom, Prince William County Police said.
Police initially responded on March 13 at 10:40 p.m. to a Langtree Lane home in Dale City for the report of a domestic assault.
"The victim, a 31-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to her residence and kicked open the front door," Perok said. "Once inside the residence, the accused chased the victim to a bedroom. A physical altercation ensued and, at one point, the accused began to choke and further assault the victim. The victim was able to contact police and the accused fled on foot."
The victim sustained minor injuries. After an investigation, PWCPD filed warrants against James, but has not been able to find him so far. He is described as a black male, about 5-foot-5 in height, weighing about 145 pounds, of a thin build with brown eyes. His picture (attached) is from June 2012. He is also wanted for an unrelated charge of violation of a protective order.
