Police: Suspect Pulls Gun on Woodbridge Pizza Delivery Man

Police discovered later it was a BB gun.

 

A Maryland man was arrested Wednesday after police said he pointed a BB gun at a man delivering pizzas in Woodbridge, Prince William County Police reports show.

Ashanti Farrakhan Hairston, 20, of Livingston Road in Fort Washington, MD is charged with brandishing a firearm and public intoxication. Police reports said the incident happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday when the 21-year-old victim was making a delivery on the 15100 block of Catalpa Court.

The suspect approached the victim as he was getting out of his car, pulled out a gun and pointed at him, police said.

The victim drove back to his job and called police who later arrested the suspect, based on a description given by the victim.

Hairston is being held without bond. A court date set for Nov. 20.

I would think that most delivery persons would have a cell phone to contact the police immediately. I'm glad the "suspect" was caught.
