Police: Woman Filed False Report of Robbery

Gabriella Castillo, 31, of Woodbridge, was charged with falsely summoning the police.

A Woodbridge woman was charged after falsely claiming that she was robbed, Prince William County Police said.

Gabriella Castillo, 31, of Lost Canyon Court, was charged with falsely summoning the police.

Police responded to Castillo's call on Oct. 23 at 8:49 p.m. on the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Court in Woodbridge. Castillo initially reported that she was walking around Delaware Road when two unknown men robbed her, police said.

"Officers responded to the area and established a perimeter in the surrounding neighborhood. Upon further questioning, several inconsistencies were discovered in the incident," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said in a press release. "Officers were able to determine that the accused had lied about the incident and that no robbery had occurred."

Castillo's court date was set for Nov. 26. She was released on a summons.

WHY call the police if nothing happened? Attention seeker or something more.....makes me wonder, but why should I care? A waste of police's time!
