Second Suspect Charged With Stealing Shoes
The first suspect in the case has also been linked to a robbery and malicious wounding on Grist Mill Road, police said.
A second man has been charged with stealing a Woodbridge teenager's shoes, and the first suspect in the case has been linked to a separate September robbery on Grist Mill Road, Prince William County Police said.
Donquiz Markies Hoskins, 19, of Korvette Drive in Dale City, was charged with robbery and assault and battery. He was not linked to the Grist Mill Road incident. His court date is set for Dec. 28.
The 18-year-old male victim reported that he arranged to meet two men on the 2200 block of Turnbuckle Lane in Woodbridge on Nov. 14. He had met a man on Facebook, later identified as Saif Waheed Mirza, of Woodbridge, and arranged to sell him two pairs of sneakers, worth $320. Instead of paying the victim, the two men snatched the sneakers and tried to run away, police said.
The victim then tried to grab the sneakers from Mirza, and they struggled. The second man then ran back and assaulted the teen. The two suspects fled the scene, while the victim sustained minor injuries.
Detectives also said that Mirza was responsible for a Sept. 9 robbery on Grist Mill Trail. Police are still looking for a second suspect in that incident. They also clarified that the previously reported charges against Mirza were for separate incidents: assault and battery and robbery for the incident on Turnbuckle Lane, and robbery and malicious wounding for the incident on Grist Mill Road.
