Shooting Victim Accused in Burglary
A man who was flown out from the CVS parking lot on Saturday night has now been charged with burglary and destruction of property. The following arrest information was supplied by the PWC police department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Lake Ridge resident Louis Todd, the victim of a shooting Saturday night, has now been charged with a burglary and destruction of property that occurred that same night, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.
Police responded at 8:15 p.m. to the 12800 block of Touchstone Circle after a report of someone suffering from a gunshot wound. After arriving, officers found a 44-year-old Woodbridge man with a gunshot wound in his lower body.
"After an extensive investigation, it was determined that the victim, now accused, had actually broken into a residence of a known acquaintance in the 12500 block of Kempston Ln through a side window," Perok said. "Once inside, the accused destroyed numerous items."
Police reported that no one was home during the burglary, so it is unclear how the accused was shot. The investigation is ongoing.
Todd is being held on a $5,000 secured bond. His court date is unavailable.
