Potomac Mills was not built by public funds to provide free parking to commuters. They provided a bonus benefit by allowing it. They are a "for profit" business and the restaurants will be a very good part of why we should be using Potomac Mills and not going to other counties to spend our money. Shop local first!

Do we need another burger place or fat mill

We're all for shopping local...and I for one encourage it. However, it is becoming more and more difficult to do just that - especially at Potomac Mills.
New restaurants, new stores..all that means progress and jobs for sure. But...the amount of square footage available around the Mall has not changed.
Seven hundred and fifty parking spaces were closed off a few months ago to make way for all this new construction. Are they going to add these somewhere else? Not!
As potential patrons, where would you like us to park? Do you plan on starting a ride share program? Or charging for the right to park? Yikes, better not give them any ideas!

i would like to see a dave and busters. my grandkids are tired of chucke cheese and my my kids ejoyed it while visiting tenessee.
myself would like more high end shopping since i can't walk malls.like signature gallery lazy-boy that left town or others

Restaurants will generate more revenue and hopefully keep taxes lower on residential property. Also, PWC residents would not have to travel outside the county for these restaurants. I agree with Mr Hill this a for profit business.

So the overwhelming majority of votes are for restaurants. What other restaurants would you like to see come to the area?

Yeah. I will like to see maybe 2 or 3 of the following:
Coastal Flats, a Potbelly, California Pizza Kitchen,

Microbrewery Restaurant such as Gordon Biersch, Chop House, Birch & Barley or Rock Bottom.

Or something such as, although more on the pricey end but well worth it:
Restaurant such as Trummer's on the Main located in Clifton VA.
Lovely restaurant. Including the ambiance and setting, service and food.

I have so much more but will like to see what others thinks.

I am glad they are bringing a Cheesecake Factory down here, everyone I know in Woodbridge drives up to Fairfax and spends their money up there instead of locally. I also agree that the mall doesn't owe the county any commuter parking, but where are the new dining customers going to park? I've heard many people say "I'll definitely avoid Potomac Mills now just becase it's already too hard to park close." I hope Potomac Town Center gets more local or rare dining so we can become the destination for out-of-towners.

This is awesome! I would be happy if I didn't have to leave Woodbridge on the weekends to have fun. With has prices these days I think twice before driving to fairfax and Tyson's to eat upscale. Agree on great American restaurants. Isn't there a coastal flats opening in the town center?

It's your prerogative to boycott. No one here is going to tell you to not to. Potomac Mills will do great without your support. You're directing your anger towards the wrong group my friend. If you have issues with how PWC is run and the fact that you have to drive outside the county for a better paying job to pay for your "Big House", then get involve with the local government. Potomac mills do not owe anyone of us anything and they sure don't owe us parking. They are a private company who is in the business of making money. 

Again, point your comments towards local officials. They are accessible. Get involved. Did you cast your vote during the last county election? Do you go to PWC BOCS Meetings? What about WPCCA? Not sure if you do or don't but I will assume the latter because they are usually a very very small contingent that address their issues at these meeting and not once have I've heard your concerns at these meetings.  

You can always move to another county, you know, the one in which you work for and pay for a "Big House" that is at least 200k more than what you are currently paying for.

Well said Kev C. I didn't know it was Potomac Mills' problem to figure out our commuter parking situation! Seems like they can't do something nice without the "gimme more" mentality. Sheesh.

More establishments are welcome since we are trapped by I95. The county should be petitioned for more valid and safer commuter parking locations. The majority of wealth PWC enjoys flows from DC. As far as Potomac Mills, I hope they plan on renovating the dingy looking mall.
