On March 4, 37 Shark Tank Racing Squad swimmers, along with other swimmers from local swim teams, will swim 5,000 meters to raise money and awareness for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
The swim will take place at Woodbridge Sport & Health from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
"The swimmers range in age from 8 to 22 and most live in the greater Fairfax area," coach Patty Friedman said. "The children have learned facts about Breast Cancer and are spreading the word, taking general donations and pledges per lap. At the present time, their goal is to raise $7000. Team Shark Tank has their own fundraising page for online donations and information."
Last year, the Shark Tank Racing Squad raised $6500 at the same event.
Friedman herself walks in the annual 39-mile two-day Avon Walk.
"The Shark Tank Racing Squad is a member of USA Swimming and a part of the Potomac Valley Local Swimming Committee. The swimmers compete at swim meets in the greater Washington, D.C., area," Friedman said.
Woodbridge Sport & Health is at 13000 Sport and Health Drive in Woodbridge.

It says: "USA Swim Team Members to Swim in Woodbridge"
BUT NO WHERE in the article does it state that they (USA Swim Team) will be there.
Just because Team Shark Tank is a member of USA Swimming, that DOESN'T make them the USA Swim Team.

Bob: Thanks for your comment. This was an oversight on my part, and it has been corrected.
