Strawberry Festival 

When/Where: May 26, 11 a.m. Cranford United Methodist Church, 9912 Old Colchester Road, Lorton.

Why Go: The annual Strawberry Festival benefits the United Methodist Women's missions projects for women and children locally, nationally, and internationally. Lunch will include BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, cole slaw, and beverages. Strawberries will be served with ice cream and in baked goods. In addition, a raffle winner will take home a basket full of assorted strawberry items.

2012 Virginia Renaissance Faire

When/Where: May 26, 27, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Lake Anna Winery, 5621 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania.

Why Go: Step back in time to the Renaissance and enjoy the music, food, costumes, and archery displays.

Studio 3 Presents Rapunzel

Why Go: Family-friendly hour long performance of Rapunzel. A comic rendering of the classic tale.

D.C. Battle of the Bands Finals
