Winter Storm 2013: Lake Ridge Forecast, Snowfall, Roads, Radar, More

Collecting all the information you need for this week's snow storm.

Latest: More rain and snow is in the weather forecast for the Woodbridge area tonight. Remaining accumulation is expected to be less than half of an inch.

Closed: Prince William County Schools are closed Thursday due to dangerous road conditions following Wednesday's snow storm.

Radar: The latest weather radar from the National Weather Service shows storm clouds heading toward the region. The worst of the snow will be overnight as temperatures cool.

Prepare: Safe driving tips, snow storm supply lists and important phone numbers to get you ready for the storm. Includes tips from the Lake Ridge Driving School.

Shopping: Stocking up with food for the snow storm is a must, particularly when power outages are a threat and roads may be dangerous. Top of our list: canned food and peanut butter.

Flying: Travelers should plan for flight delays. Weather in and around Chicago is affecting flights from Reagan, Dulles and BWI airports. Specifically, the Federal Aviation Administration is reporting delays at Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports, Milwaukee and Minneapolis-St. Paul.

It's slushageddon out there. 3 or 4 inches deep on our sidewalk here at the house and the parking lot at the shopping center was a slushy mess. The Starbucks around the corner is open (I walked).

Already ready -- got my toilet paper, milk, bread, coffee and, yes, peanut butter. Unless the power goes out, I'm all set to ride it out. Hope everyone will be extra safe out there if you must go out, but only go out if you really must.
