Woman Shot to Death in Dumfries
Rescue personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene early Thursday morning.
A woman was shot to death in Dumfries early Thursday morning, Prince William County Police said.
Officers responded at 3:26 a.m. to the 17600 block of Washington Street in Dumfries for a report of a shooting.
The 911 caller reported the sound of gunshots in the area. Police found a woman who had been shot in the upper body. Rescue personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
The woman's name was not immediately released.
The incident is the county's second homicide in two days. Police ask anyone with information relating to these cases to call the Crime Solvers anonymous tipline at 703-670-3700 or 1-866-411-TIPS.

i live right up the street from dumfries in woodbridge and i use to go over there alot. i stopped because of the shootings and the danger.. male or female . its not safe.. not even to walk to the store anymore.. rapes murders and robberies . we are turning into a mini dc are for god sakes
