Woodbridge Man Wanted For Shooting of Superintendent in New York
Anthony Taglianetti is a suspect in a homicide in Clymer, NY.
A Woodbridge man is wanted as a suspect in the shooting of Clymer School superintendent Keith L. Reed in Clymer, NY, The Buffalo News reported today.
Reed was found dead on Monday, WGRZ.com reported.
Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace reported that Anthony Robert Taglianetti, 42, is wanted in a nationwide manhunt.
Taglianetti is described as six-feet-tall and weighs about 250 pounds. Sheriff Gerace said he was likely still armed.
"We are going to treat him as such," Gerace told Woodbridge Patch. "We do feel he is responsible for Mr. Reed's death. And we consider him armed and dangerous."
Chautauqua County law enforcement believe that Taglianetti has returned south.
"We believe that he is in or around the state of Virginia," Gerace told Patch. "Where exactly, we don't know at this time."
"This isn't a random act of violence," Gerace said in The Buffalo News article. "This individual wanted to do harm to Mr. Reed."
Reed's funeral is Friday in Salamanca, his hometown, The Associated Press reported in the Star Gazette.
The Prince William County Police Department is working with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office on this investigation. If you have information about the whereabouts of Taglianetti, call the PWC Police at 571-238-0731.
