Woodbridge Teenagers Charged With Multiple Burglaries

A K-9 tracked down one of the suspects to a residence where he had forced his way inside, police said.

Prince William County Police believe that two Woodbridge teenagers were responsible for multiple burglaries in the area.

Police say they have connected a 17-year-old male to five burglaries in the area, and a 15-year-old male to two burglaries. Officers arrested both juveniles on Monday and they are held at the juvenile detention facility.

A resident on the the 1400 block of Forest Lane reported on Jan. 14 at 3:03 p.m. that two men were running from the backyard of a neighbor's residence. When police arrived, they found a rear door that was forced open. No property was missing.

Officers set up a perimeter and used a K-9 to find the suspects. The 17-year-old had forced his way through an unlocked door into a residence on the 14700 block of Candlewood Court, past the homeowner. When officers approached, he fled on foot. After a short pursuit, officers arrested the suspect.

Officers were then led to the location of the 15-year-old suspect, Balsam Court. They arrested the suspect.

Detectives from the Property Crimes Unit later identified the suspects as the ones responsible for another burglary on Meridian Drive. Police believe they entered through an unsecured front door, then stole an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry.

Moreover, police believe the 17-year-old was involved with other incidents. One of them took place Jan. 11 on Forest Lane, where an iPad and camera were stolen. Another was an attempted burglary on Woodside Drive, which a homeowner interrupted

What is in the water in Woodbridge? It's getting as bad here in Manassas, but Woodbrige has us beat! Where are the parents of these street demons? Home doing crack i'd assume. Sick!
