WSHS Student Nominated for Cappie Award

Gala awards announced at the Kennedy Center in June.

The only Cappie awards nomination for eastern Prince William County went to a Woodbridge Senior High School student.

The Cappies critics and awards program is a program that trains high school students at theatre critics, then publishes their reviews in the news media. The student critics then vote for awards. The winners are announced at a gala in June.

Woodbridge's Mia Amado is nominated for supporting actress in a play following her role in the school's production of A Miracle Worker. Amado played the famous deaf and blind Helen Keller.
