1. Today: Kids rock out with Rocknocerus. Chinn Library is hosting a free kids' concert for kids age 2 and older on July 23 at 10 a.m. Tokens are available before the concert, and each adult can get up to five tokens.

Several comments (some more helpful than others) followed, including a spelling correction from another reader. That prompted the author to respond, “Donna, thanks. Is this all you wanted to say about this topic????” Donna replied, “Yep.”

4. Number of the Day: 12. That’s the age of young Lina Sbihi. The rising seventh grader at Gainesville Middle School won a gold medal in taekwondo this month in the 12-14 age division at the USA National Taekwondo Championship in Chicago. Manassas Patch has a video of a recent practice.
5. Traffic Forecast: Full closures of I-95 South. The interstate will be closed at Exit 148 July 23-24 from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. for the installation of steel beams as part of the bridge work for the upcoming Express Lanes. Traffic will be detoured to Russell Road east, then to Route 1 South, then to Route 610 West, and then back to I-95 South.
