Grab & Go Kids Planner

Looking for some summer fun with the kids?

It’s the first full week of summer vacation for most students in the area. Be sure to check out all of the summer programs at the libraries, fitness centers, and parks for fun activities for the whole family.

  • Make a fun craft at Potomac Community Library at the Starlight Craft event on June 22 at 7:15 p.m.
  • Laugh at Paul Hadfield as he presents his alter-ego, General Foolishness, at Potomac Community Library on June 23 at 11 a.m.
  • Have fun at TGIF Family Zumba at Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center on June 24 at 6:30 p.m.  There is a $15 fee per family. 
  • Take the kids fishing and compete in the 4th Saturday Kids Fishing Tournament at Lake Ridge Park on June 25 from 8-9:30 a.m.
  • Enjoy the water and park on the Occoquan Reservoir History Family Canoe Trip at Lake Ridge Park on June 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Enjoy a puppet show by Bob Brown at Potomac Community Library on June 25 at 2 p.m.
  • Sit back and relax at the U.S. Navy Commodores Concert at the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza on June 25 at 7 p.m.
  • Participate in the Family Scavenger Hunt Cache at Lake Ridge Park on June 26 from 2-4 p.m.
  • Enjoy the Prince William Community Band Sesquicentennial Concert at the Sean T. Connaughton Plaza on June 26 at 3 p.m.
  • Catch a viewing of the popular movie Up at Potomac Community Library on June 27 at 11 a.m.
  • Head over to Potomac Community Library in Woodbridge and pick up June’s monthly mind bender contest form and complete it with the whole family.  This month’s topic is “Tall Tale Characters Anagram.” You could win a prize if you submit your answers! Forms must be completed and turned in by June 30 by 9 p.m. for the drawing.
  • Attend Bingo night with the OWL Volunteer Fire Department in Woodbridge on June 22 and 25 at 5:15 p.m.
