Plant a Tree at K-9 Gunner Memorial Dog Park

Help reduce stormwater runoff by planting trees at K-9 Gunner Memorial Dog Park along Minnieville Road in Woodbridge.

The Prince William Conservation Alliance will be planting trees on Oct. 5 at 10 a.m. at K-9 Gunner Memorial Dog Park at 13000 Minnieville Road near Colby Drive.

"Help make your community more attractive and slow the flow of stormwater runoff," a PWCA release read. "This planting includes areas adjacent to the popular K-9 Gunner Memorial Dog Park, leading to the parking lot and dry stormwater pond."

The park, named after a faithful PWC Police German Shepherd who was struck by friendly fire in 2005, opened to the public in May.
