Road Watch-A Look at the Streets for Your Commute Back Home

Most main roads in Lake Ridge salted and plowed, some side roads may be snow covered.

For the commute home to Lake Ridge-Occoquan, here's a glimpse of a couple main area roads as of 5 p.m. Be sure to use extra caution for slippery spots, and be on the lookout for flying snow from the roofs of other cars that could impair visibility.

Although Old Bridge Rd and Rt 123 North and Southbound has been salted and cleared, icy slush remains and some side roads are covered with packed down snow even though a plow may have visited the streets at some point today.

To prevent some morning headaches, if you park outside, prop up your wiper blades to keep them from freezing to your windshield, and plan on heading out earlier than usual tomorrow to warm up your car before your commute, and to allow yourself time to maneuver around slippery roads.
