Speak Out: Prince William Dog Park Gets a Name

The dog park is the second to open in Prince William County over the last year.

The new dog park in Woodbridge, which opened earlier this year, was recently named K-9 Gunner Memorial Park after a police German Shepherd that was struck by friendly fire in 2005.

The 7-year-old dog was a highly-decorated drug detection canine for the police, and was helping police find a suspect in Woodbridge when he was killed.

What do you think of the name? Did you ever get to meet Gunner?
