Weekend Planner: Scavenger Hunt, Summer Bash, Concert

Get out this weekend with our weekend planner.

Why Go: Do you and your family love searching for treasures? Families are invited to Lake Ridge Park to learn everything about geocaches: the basics, different types of caches, how to get started, equipments. The day will end with everyone finding caches for some hands-on learning.

Pricing: $25 per family of four, and an additional $5 for each additional person.

Why Go: You will receive a wrist band to participate in the following activities:

- Professional facepainting
- Summer craft
- Cotton candy
- Princess visit
- Our famous parades (done on the hour at 3 p.m, 4 p.m, and 5 p.m.)
- Sugar Scrub Fun Station presented by Potomac Soap

Why Go: Children of all ages are invited to join puppeteer Bob Brown for a fun show filled with silly, ridiculous, and nonsensical dragons. Tickets are free but there is a limited supply.

Where/When: 2932 Prince William Pkwy. June 25, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

 Why Go: Kameleon Jewelry is a fun line of jewelry. The pops are interchangeable so you can make one piece of jewelry look as unique as you are, just swap out the pops for whatever the occasion. Come see this exciting line of jewelry. There will be prizes, raffles and specials.

Why Go: Come enjoy a jazz “big band” performance by the U.S. Navy Commodores. Bring blankets and chairs.
