"Architecture Talks: Doors and Details in Metallic Photographs"

Tuesday, June 7 - Sunday, July 3, 2011

Meet the Artist Reception:  Sunday, June 12, 1 - 4 pm

Herndon’s self-described "riveting Images" are original photographs of architectural details and artifacts taken across France, Spain, and the United States. These images "freeze frame" details that reflect the culture of those who created them and tell a story. The metallic print process saturates color slightly and adds an unexpected third dimension to draw in the viewer. All of the prints are limited edition (29), titled, numbered, and signed.

Herndon's interest in architectural details and cultural artifacts stems from her background in urban planning and law, where she has helped resolve disputes to balance economic development and social values. Ten percent of her profits support organizations that provide micro financing to less advantaged women starting businesses from their homes.
