OWL VFD Crews Wear Pink to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department crew members support those fighting against breast cancer.

During the month of October, Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department members will wear pink T-shirts to raise breast cancer awareness, according to an OWL VFD statement.

"Cancer has touched almost everyone’s life, including members of our own department. We want to remind them that they are not alone, that we care,” Department Chief Jim McAllister said. “This is one more way we can give back and raise awareness.”

OWL VFD also supports children's cancer research with their annual St. Baldrick's event in March.
