His preferred method of transportation may be the reindeer-drawn sleigh, but when he visits Occoquan, Santa makes an exception and arrives by boat.
This year, Santa will arrive at noon on Saturday, Nov. 26. Come down to the town docks next to Mamie Davis Park to see him arrive and then head over to Town Hall to meet him.
"This annual Occoquan event is sponsored by the Occoquan Merchants Association," Mayor Earnie Porta said. "Take some time to visit our wonderful historic district, shop, eat, and chat with Santa."
