Search For Robbery Suspect Impacts Lake Ridge Schools

Woodbridge High School, Lake Ridge Middle School, and Old Bridge Elementary School are in precautionary secure the building status. PWC Police have released the suspect's description.

Update, 12:05 p.m. The secure the building status has been lifted for the Lake Ridge schools, according to a PWCS Facebook post.

Woodbridge High School, Lake Ridge Middle School, and Old Bridge Elementary School are in precautionary secure the building status after a reported armed robbery at the Check into Cash in Dillingham Square in Lake Ridge, according to information from Prince William County Schools and the Prince William County Police Department

"Unknown male entered the business, displayed a handgun, and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing," a PWC Police Department Facebook post read. "Unknown if on foot or in vehicle." 

No injuries were reported. Police are looking for a thin black man about 5-foot-9, last seen wearing a black sweater with red lines, a black hat, khaki pants, sunglasses, gloves and holding a black and grey backpack.

Over at the schools, "all are safe but entry is restricted," a PWCS Facebook post read.
