Weekend Planner: Valentine's Day Events

When/Where: Feb. 11, noon. Fetch Dog and Cat Bakery-Boutique, 305 Mill St, Occoquan.

Why Go: Come and have a Valentine's Party with us at Fetch! Bring your doggie sweetheart for some cake, cookies and make a Pawprint Keepsake complete with a poem. We will have games for dogs and owners alike. Don't worry we also have cake for the doggie parents.

Why Go: Your kids participate in fun games and activities, and you have the opportunity to have some time to yourself or with your loved one. Kids must be 3 years old or older and must be potty-trained. Pizza and drinks provided.

Valentine's Day Dance at Rockledge Mansion

When/Where: Feb. 12, 7 p.m. Rockledge Mansion, 440 Mill Street, Occoquan. 

Why Go: Dance in the ballroom of the historic mansion.

Price: Tickets are $21 online or $25 at the door. 

When/Where: Feb. 13, 7 p.m. Old Bridge United Methodist Church, 3966 Old Bridge Road, Lake Ridge. 

Why Go: A Valentine scrapbooking grief workshop for persons age 13 and over who are grieving the recent loss of a loved one.  Participants will create a special valentine page and discuss how to deal with special days throughout the year. Please bring a picture of your loved one to share with the group and use on your page. All supplies will be provided but you are encouraged to bring any scrapbooking items you may have.

Price: Free, but registration requested. Contact Karen Tyner, Capital Caring Hospice Grief counselor at ktyner@capitcaring.org to register.

When/Where: Feb. 14, 4-10 p.m. Cock and Bowl, 302 Poplar Alley, Occoquan.
