Hurricane Sandy: Tweet #PatchRebuilds to Help

Patch will make a $1 donation to AmeriCares for every tweet with the hashtag #PatchRebuilds.

You can help rebuild communities that were hit by Hurricane Sandy by donating cans of food, volunteering for cleanup efforts—or simply sending a tweet.

Patch is excited to announce our new effort to help support devestated communities after the storm. For every tweet sent with the hashtag #PatchRebuilds, we will donate $1 to the AmeriCares Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Fund, up to $125,000.

Your contribution will go toward medical and humanitarian aid, grants and programs to help Sandy survivors.

You can simply tweet the hashtag #PatchRebuilds, or go to our Patch Rebuilds website and tweet directly from there.

A customized tweet that starts “My heart belongs to…” is created from the Patch Rebuilds website, and tweeters can type in an area they are most connected to that was hit by Hurricane Sandy.

Please help us spread the word by letting people know about this link: http://rebuilds.patch.com/lakeridge

Thanks for helping us support Hurricane Sandy victims.

I so appreciate Rich Anderson's presence on this committee. My biggest question is why didn't anyoneRead More have a plan for jobs to take effect if these cuts happened. Did anyone calculate the expense to the economy that would occur from Sequestration or plan to offset that expense?

Stopped by for lunch yesterday and had the turkey-avocado BLT with sweet tea and fries -- delicious.Read More Dave and Eric, the new managers, are good, hardworking guys who I wish all the best in their new venture. As Earnie said, Dave and Sarah have developed a diverse and interesting menu, with some pleasant surprise offerings, the prices are reasonable and they're going to be open seven days a week for breakfast to dinner, something many other Occoquan restaurants don't do. Give them a try, and tell them Chuck the Foodie sent you.
