VIDEO: Occoquan Hit by Flash Flooding
The torrential rains have caused water to rise on Union Street and in other places across town.
Though Hurricane Irene raised some fears that Occoquan would suffer flooding, it's the latest rain from Tropical Storm Lee that's causing water to rise in the small town.
The National Weather Service is calling for continued heavy rains in the Lake Ridge - Occoquan area, with flash flood warnings down in Southeastern Prince William County.
Occoquan resident James Phelps said he's not sure of the extent of the flooding, as he's not leaving his house for a while. But he captured the view from Union Street. Stay tuned for possible video of the flood.
