Occoquan to Hold Annual Blessing Service Sunday

The town will hold the service with members of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

This year, the annual Occoquan Town Blessing will take place Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at the church on the corner of Commerce and Washington Streets. The beloved tradition, held in a historic church, is hosted by members of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Last year, Rev. Charles Lundy led the service, which included comments from Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta, a reading of Luke 2, and worship music from the choir.

After the town is blessed for another year, Madigan's Waterfront will host a free town holiday party on the second floor of the restaurant.
