FBI Films Abduction Training Video in Woodbridge

FBI used Prince William County Police Department patrol officers in its informational video.

The FBI shot a video Wednesday using Prince William County Police Department patrol officers and detectives to explain the National Crime Information Center’s (NCIC) Missing Person File Capabilities/Functionalities.

The video, shot by the FBI's Criminal Justice Services Division, was based on a parental abduction scenario and shot on location in Rippon Landing Park in Woodbridge. Friday is National Missing Children’s Day.

For more photos from the video shoot, visit the Prince William County Police Department Facebook page.

From the PWC Police Department:

"Every year in America an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing, more than 2,000 children each day. Of that number, 200,000 are abducted by family members, and 58,000 are abducted by non-family members. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is based in Alexandria; their toll-free, 24-hour hotline is 1-800-THE-LOST. More information is available at their website: www.missingkids.com. The website provides lots of tips on what parents can do to keep their children safe.
