Lake Ridge Man Elected Chairman of NOVA Senior Olympics Committee

The games will take place this September.

Lake Ridge resident Jack Hobbs is now chairman of the Northern Virginia Senior Olympics committee, the Washington Post reports.

The games take place in September of this year, and the committee will begin considering possible events at its Feb. 14 meeting. The meeting starts at 1 p.m. at Wakefield District Park in Annandale.

Last year, about 650 people over the age of 50 took part in senior olympics events around Northern Virginia.
