Lost Dog Turns Up in Occoquan

Residents in the Barrington Pointe/Occoquan Pointe area of Occoquan have found a ginger-colored dog and have taken her to an area animal hospital.

Neighbors in the Barrington Pointe/Occoquan Pointe off of Fortress Way in Occoquan came across a ginger-colored lab-like dog Tuesday night.

According to neighbor Connie Dean, the dog looks like she ran away from a bath and has no collar.

Neighbors have taken the dog to theat 2703 Caton Hill Rd. for the night where she will be kept overnight and scanned for a microchip.

Dean said the dog was obviously well-loved and has good manners.

If you are the dog's owner, the animal hospital can be reached at (703) 897-5665.

I so appreciate Rich Anderson's presence on this committee. My biggest question is why didn't anyoneRead More have a plan for jobs to take effect if these cuts happened. Did anyone calculate the expense to the economy that would occur from Sequestration or plan to offset that expense?

Stopped by for lunch yesterday and had the turkey-avocado BLT with sweet tea and fries -- delicious.Read More Dave and Eric, the new managers, are good, hardworking guys who I wish all the best in their new venture. As Earnie said, Dave and Sarah have developed a diverse and interesting menu, with some pleasant surprise offerings, the prices are reasonable and they're going to be open seven days a week for breakfast to dinner, something many other Occoquan restaurants don't do. Give them a try, and tell them Chuck the Foodie sent you.
