Armed Robbery Near Occoquan

A Dumfries man told police he was rear-ended and then robbed.

On Nov. 14, a 30-year-old Dumfries man told police that he was rear-ended and then robbed in the area of Old Bridge Road and Tanyard Hill Road.

The victim reported that he was driving down Old Bridge early that morning when another vehicle ran into the back of his vehicle. Both drivers pulled off the road onto a side street. The other driver allegedly then pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The victim reportedly then gave him his wallet with an undisclosed amount of money inside.

No one was injured. Police are on the lookout for a white male between 30 and 40 years old. The victim estimated his height at about 5'10" and his weight at about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black North Face style jacket and blue jeans.
