Police: Burglar, Armed With Knife, Assaults Lake Ridge Homeowner

The Lake Ridge homeowner was not injured, but $1,200 worth of jewelry was reported missing.

A burglar armed with a knife recently assaulted a Lake Ridge homeowner, Prince William County Police said. 

The homeowner reported on Thursday at 10:42 a.m. that he was on the lower level of his home on the 12200 block of Aztec Place when his dogs started barking. He heard footsteps on an upstairs floor, checked on the noise, and found an unknown man in the home. 

The burglar assaulted the man and pulled out a knife. They struggled briefly and then the burglar fled on foot. $1,200 worth of jewelery was reported missing.

Police are looking for a black man between 18-20 years old, about 6'1", 190 pounds, with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray shoes, gray pants and had a black mask on.
