On July 11, shortly before 11 p.m., a homeowner in the 12700 block of Captains Cove in Lake Ridge reported a burglary, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.
The homeowner reported that jewelry worth about $18,000 had been stolen and told the police that the burglar must have entered the home between 9 a.m. and 10:45 p.m that same day. When police inspected the home, they found that entry had most likely been made by forcing a rear door open.
