Dog Stolen in Woodbridge Burglary

Jewelry, gift cards also stolen in recent Woodbridge-area burglaries.

Homeowners in Woodbridge recently reported the loss of a dog, jewelry, and gift cards in burglaries that occured on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

A homeowner in the 12700 block of Hunterbrook Drive reported the loss of $150,000 worth of jewelry, an undisclosed amount of money and a dog. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Dec. 7. The burglar most likely got in through an unlocked window, as there were no signs of forced entry into the residence, Perok said.

In other incidents: 

A homeowner in the 2600 block of Constitution Circle reported the loss of a purse and several gift cards, worth about $900 total. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 10 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 7. The burglar most likely got in through an unlocked door, as there were no signs of forced entry into the house, Perok said. 

A homeowner in the 14400 block of Brook Drive reported the loss of miscellaneous collectible items, worth about $13,000 total. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened between 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 6. The burglar likely entered the home by forcing open a rear door, Perok said.

Police have not released any information suggesting these burglaries are connected.
