Fire Destroys Townhouse Off Antietam Road

Fire crews respond to Madeira Court blaze, report of one person with serious injuries.

A fire destroyed a Madeira Court home Thursday night, bringing dozens of first responders, including units from Manassas and Dale City.

The fire has been "knocked down" and everyone is accounted for, according to a post on the Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page.

InsideNoVa is reporting that one resident suffered serious injuries in the fire.

Fire crews appeared done battling the blaze at 9:15 p.m. Most of the damage appeared to be limited to one unit, which sustained significant fire damage.

I so appreciate Rich Anderson's presence on this committee. My biggest question is why didn't anyoneRead More have a plan for jobs to take effect if these cuts happened. Did anyone calculate the expense to the economy that would occur from Sequestration or plan to offset that expense?

Stopped by for lunch yesterday and had the turkey-avocado BLT with sweet tea and fries -- delicious.Read More Dave and Eric, the new managers, are good, hardworking guys who I wish all the best in their new venture. As Earnie said, Dave and Sarah have developed a diverse and interesting menu, with some pleasant surprise offerings, the prices are reasonable and they're going to be open seven days a week for breakfast to dinner, something many other Occoquan restaurants don't do. Give them a try, and tell them Chuck the Foodie sent you.
