Fire Leaves Occoquan Police Cruiser Badly Damaged

The cause and origin of the fire is still being investigated

The Occoquan Police cruiser was badly damaged last week by a fire that is still under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office.

"At 02:41 a.m. on Oct. 9 I received a phone call at home informing me the police car was on fire," Occoquan Chief of Police and Acting Town Manager Sheldon Levi said. "I came into town and OWL had the fire out, the county police were here and we were all waiting for the PWC Fire Marshal’s office to arrive."

A passerby reportedly called in the fire. The cause and origin of the fire is still being investigated.
