Girl on Bicycle Struck by Vehicle in Hit-and-Run in Dale City

The 8-year-old girl was taken to the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

An 8-year-old Woodbridge girl told police she was struck by a car Tuesday night while she was riding her bicycle near the dead end of Gerry Lane in Dale City, said Officer Jonathan Perok of the Prince William County Police Department.Β 

The driver stopped to make sure the girl was not seriously injured, but then drove away before police could arrive, the girl told police.Β 

The girl was taken to the hospital for her injuries, which were not life-threatening.

Police are on the lookout for a white male between 25 and 30 years old, about 5'6" tall, of a thin build, with black hair in a Mohawk haircut. The girl described him as wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. The driver reportedly drove a black four-door Honda with a broken mirror on the passenger side.
