Lake Ridge Man Attacked at Shopping Center

The 34-year-old victim said he was cut in the neck and arms.

Two men were charged April 16 with malicious wounding after a Lake Ridge man reported that he was attacked at Marumsco Shopping Plaza off Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. 

Police responded to the plaza at 9 p.m. where they met with the 34-year-old man from Lake Ridge, who said he was attacked by two men. The victim said one of the men cut him on the neck and arm and then they both fled before police arrived. The victim knew his attackers and the police arrested Antonio Cevedo Mendez, 19, and Jose Javier Perez-Alvarenga, 31, the next day. They were both charged with malicious wounding.

Both men were being held without bond and will appear in court on May 18.
