Man Charged With Pointing Gun At Gas Worker
A Woodbridge man charged with brandishing a gun and police report two recent burglaries.
Police arrested a 64-year-old man earlier this month after he was accused of pointing a gun at a man who was working on a gas line on Golansky Boulevard.
At about 8:15 a.m. on April 6, a 41-year-old man told police he was working on a gas line in the 3100 block of Golansky Boulevard when a pipe struck an unoccupied vehicle that belonged to Richard Allen Mangini, 64, of Kurtz Road.
Police said Kurtz approached the man and pointed a gun at him. The man called police and Kurtz was found shortly after and arrested without incident. He is charged with brandishing a gun and his court date is set for May 10. He was being held without bond

At about 3:30 p.m. April 7, a homeowner in the 1400 block of Devils Read Road called police to report that the home was burglarized. The burglary happened between 5 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. that day. The burglar entered the home through an unsecured back door of the garage. Tools and other items that had a total estimated value of $4,000 were missing from the home.

Two days earlier at 11:04 p.m. April 5, a homeowner in the 1800 block of Sugar Hill Drive reported the home was burglarized between 11:30 a.m. April 3 and 11 p.m. April 5. Police believe the burglar entered the house through an unlocked window and took jewelry and electronics worth an estimated $5,600.
